Red and yellow Light mainly classified as incandescent light, is generally used in spaces where the intention is to set a calm or soft mood. This type of lighting is less alerting to the eye and brain especially at night. This is why incandescent light is often used in high end restaurants or bars that intend to set a relaxing atmosphere. This type of lighting is often used in the bedroom as well to improve cognitive activity and aid in the process of sleep.
Natural light in the home
The most important part of the home is how you feel when you’re there, if your space is poorly lit or has minimal natural exposure it can cause mental affects on those who reside there. A generous amount of natural lighting can help regulate the human internal clock and improve one’s mood. In addition to conserving energy, natural light improves the overall mood and productivity of the user in the space. The impact of natural light has become so well known now that almost every home, school and office spaces are designed with large fenestration.
Lighting is important no matter the space that is being designed or re-constructed, it can make or break what is trying to be achieved in any interior. The next space that you consider changing, put lighting as the first priority.
